. The school offers many courses including A-level. Examination results are outstanding, with a 99% pass rate at A-level in 2009. GCSE results have also advanced significantly to 80% A*-C grade passes. The five A*-C pass rate, including English and Mathematics, rose to 72% in 2009.
The school completed a major extension providing two new classrooms and a new science laboratory, and refurbished three other classrooms. There are also enhanced staff facilities and a completely redesigned reception area.
The school opened in 1961 through the initiative of Canon Daniel O'Hanlon, and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Celebrations included a mass to which previous students were invited.
