History
The school is on a large site off Haslingden Road. The main building was completed in 1959, with upper school facilities opening in 1972. A new modern foreign language centre – The Fishwick Centre - has been built as part of the development of the school as a Specialist Language College. This provides four specialist language teaching rooms, including a computer suite.At the start of the September 2010 term a new sports hall was opened.
