The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) is a local county law enforcement agency that serves both Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
. It primarily provides court, warrant, bailiff, and jail/prisoner transport services for the county. In some jurisdictions it also supplements local law enforcement by providing detectives, labs, SWAT, and reserve forces for backup.
