. Construction of the Alpensia Sliding Centre should start in August 2012 and be completed in August 2016. The construction will cost 70.3 million US$, to be shared between the country and the regional authorities. In addition 3.7 million US$ of temporary works will be necessary to ready the facility for the Olympic Games.
