Alpraham hosts the annual Point to point (steeplechase) for the Cheshire Hunt, normally a Saturday towards the end of March.
Alpraham was recently involved in a dispute on whether the 'Bunbury' Locks (actually in Alpraham) should be renamed. After several petitions, it remains Bunbury Locks.
The annual Alpraham village day held at the Alpraham Park is always well attended and attracted attention from several local magazines last year. Among the stalls is a cheese tasting stall and several stalls selling goods like mulled wine
