It all started in 2001 with two guys and a good formula. First, the Brazilian DJ's/Producers Macau and VMC joined their musical talents to make hot tunes inspired by house music. Second, they needed a strong name which could express the real meaning of being DJ's and producers. So, ALTAR was chosen. "We came from heaven. To bring you drums, happiness, dreams, fire and love" sing the duo. ALTAR comes from the summit of the clubs to pray for the music; to pray for the dance floor; to pray for the DJ's and to pray for the crowd. Their fast growing reputation was first built with the hit SEXERCISE (2003 by SHEEVA RECORDS) and became the starting point that led them to the topin clubs and on radio. The strong beats and exotic lyrics were the perfect combination that grabbed the attention of DJ's and producers. Most of them ranked the track at the top of their play lists. And it was selected for 11 special compilations, distributing their music around the world.

ALTAR is among the hottest breaking news of the house music today. As DJ's and producers at heart, ALTAR plays in the top clubs in Brazil, maintaining a special bond with their public. Their new single "Party People" kept rising to the top of the "hot dance club play" in Billboard Magazine. The song came from the 45th position to 1 after 11 weeks. Altar is at it once again doing an AMAZING hit which will make this an anthem club song for years! You really can't go wrong with a voice like Jeanie Tracy's and a talented Brazilian duo like Altar! The vibe here is pure anthem all the way with three extended remixes including a radio edit and four remixes from some of the biggest names in the circuit scene. Party people love "Party People". The reaction from DJ's around the world has been incredible. It has a fierce beat with vocals that get you on the dance floor in a record time. In Germany it is already 1 in sales in vinyl 12". When shopping for producers, this track was passed up by several more mainstream names and was finally given the production of life by Altar, and you can bet that now those non-believers are currently kicking themselves for not having seen what this could be. This track is currently only being made available digitally, though a CD single may be in sight. In the mean time, we have it here in 8 different flavors.
