Biography

Ojeda was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He's a member of the new contemporary Uruguayan writers of the 80s generation, who started to publish after the end of de facto

 government (1973–1985).
His work was translated or published in Argentine, Spain, Canada, Hungary, Poland, Mexico and Sweden. He currently writes for Suplemento Cultural of Diario El País de Montevideo and Semanario Brecha.

Recently, on 2008, his last novel, "La fascinación" ("fascination") was selected as one of the ten finalists of Premio Iberoamericano Planeta-Casa de América.
