Ali Ibrahim was an Egyptian rower
who competed at four Summer Olympic Games

Born in El Sharkia, he took up rowing in 1990, rapidly becoming the most successful Egyptian rower, particularly in finishing 8th at the 1996 Olympic Games and 6th at the 1997 World Championships. He competed in the single again at the 2000 Games, and although he moved into team boats, rowing in the Eight and Quad for World Championships, he competed in the single scull again at the 2004 and 2008 Games.
He died after a car crash in March 2010.
