The American Turkish Friendship Council (ATFC) was founded in 2005 to encourage and foster mutual understanding, friendship and peace through tourism
, cultural, economic and professional exchanges between the United States of America and the Republic of Turkey and their citizens. In 2005 Mona Diamond became the Chairman for the American Turkish Friendship Council, a non-profit organization for the promotion of Turkey in the United States.
