The infamous scene aired on a Friday night, and left the TV spectators in suspense until the following Monday episode aired.

In the second part of the story, many years pass and Ana grows up into a beautiful woman who resembles her mother, Marisela. Ana will eventually fall in love with Angel, who is mute, but before Angel and Ana can be happy they will have to face the persecution of Ana's crazed aunt, Mercedes.

Plot
The story has two parts. The first part follows the story of Marisela and Fernando, who are in love but must face the opposition of Marisela's father and the hatred of both Fernando's mentally-ill sister Mercedes, and Marisela's jealous and frivolous sister Paola. On their wedding day, they are murdered by Mercedes. The couple leave behind a daughter, Ana.In the second part of the story, many years pass and Ana grows up into a beautiful woman who resembles her mother, Marisela. Ana will eventually fall in love with Angel, who is mute, but before Angel and Ana can be happy they will have to face the persecution of Ana's crazed aunt, Mercedes.
