and business executive. She is the Chair of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra
and Vice-chair of the CAMH
Foundation. In 1995, Lopes founded Saralex Communications, a promotion, marketing, and event management firm. Lopes was recognized for her philanthropy and volunteerism in 2008 with the Association of Fundraising Professionals' 2008 Outstanding Volunteer Award and the Outstanding Portuguese-Canadian Achievement Award.
