footballer who played mainly as a Left winger.

, he developed his early football years in the second team of Athletic de Bilbao, but he could not make his debut in the first team because Txetxu Rojo, another great Left winger, stopped his progression. He moved two years to a nearby team, Sestao Sport and then to Levante UD
. In his second year in Valencia, the team returned to second division. Murua played the first six matches of the next season, netting 2 goals, before he received the call of José María Maguregui, coach of AD Almería
