Early years
Born in New Zealand from a Samoan father and a Māori mother, he has been living in France for 14 years. His family came to France to follow his dad who ended his career as a rugby league player at La Réole after playing for Richmond and Ponsonby in Auckland. His father Andrew Sr. was also previously selected to represent Samoa in the Pacific Cup.Playing career
