New Charter University offers Associate, Bachelor's and Master's degrees in business, public policy and administration, and criminal justice. Students can take unlimited courses for a flat tuition of $199 per month at the undergraduate level and $279 per month at the graduate school level.

New Charter University's courses are online and self-paced, meaning students can attend school when convenient and learn according to their own pace and personal learning style. Students take proctored exams at home via webcam, and the university's competency-based model means that passing a course and earning a degree is based on the student demonstrating mastery of the course material -- and not by logging seat time. Students can accelerate their time to completing a degree if they bring prior experience in the subject matter or demonstrate competencies more quickly. A competency-based academic model measures a set of demonstrated skills, rather than a succession of courses, to determine whether a student has gained the knowledge and abilities to be successful in today's workplace.

NEW.edu's mission is to leverage innovative technologies and teaching methods to help students earn recognized degrees and credentials that advance their careers and improve their lives, without the burden of student debt.
