Biography
In the years leading up to the Ukrainian independence in 1991 Parubiy was an active activist for this independence, being even arested for holding an illegal rally in 1988. In 1991 he founded the Social-National Party of Ukraine together with Oleh TyahnybokOleh Tyahnybok
