On 1 July 2009, Barcham committed his future to Gillingham by signing a two-year deal.
In May 2011 it was reported that Barcham was not going to sign a new contract with Gillingham and would therefore leave the club. On 28 June Barcham signed for Leaque One side Scunthorpe United
on a two year deal.
