Tulsi Comics was an Indian comics publisher in the late 80s and early 90s, and was a division of Tulsi Pocket Books- History :Backed by Tulsi Pocket Books, a popular publishers of Hindi novels in India, and backed by an established and vast customer base of the novels, Tulsi comics never achieved...

(now a defunct character) who was very popular during the 80's and the 90's.

Origin

Angara was the brainchild of Dr. Kunal who is research scientist on fictional Angara Island. He teaches the animals present on the island to talk. When a foreign nations attacks the island and Dr. Kunal and the animals have no where to go, Dr. Kunal decides to unite the animals into a super intelligent being on the request of all the animals. He implants a gorilla with the brain of a fox, strength of an elephant, skin of a Rhino, eyes of vulture and heart of a lion to create a super intelligent being and names him Angara after the island.

Plot Summary

Angara mainly dealt with enemies the were supernatural just like him and he would defeat them using his intelligence and help of friends like Jatayu and Whale Rani. He would defeat the enemies with strength (from elephant), intellect (from fox) and his own wisdom.

Family and Friends

Dr. Kunal was the creator of Angara. Apart from this his two loyal friends Jatayu (a large eagle) and Whale Rani (a whale) always help him out throughout his missions.

Enemies

Notable enemies of Angara include Commando Dragon , Charlie (Commando Dragon's disciple) , Kala Danav, Bichua, Bulldog, Chilli (a foot sized Bat/Dragon combination), Panchmukhi (a 5 headed Tortoise) and Jangara
