On April 1, 2006, rumors began circulating that AngelaDevi.com had displayed an announcement that Devi had died and that the site was no longer available to new members. Within 24 hours the announcement of her death had been removed, but the site remained unavailable to new members, ultimately closing on April 30, 2006.
