She went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music
in London in 2003, funded by the Raffi Manoukian full scholarship, where she studied under Professor Hu Kun
. She gained a DipRAM diploma for outstanding performance, and a PGDip postgraduate diploma with distinction.
Then in 2006 an International Full Scholarship enabled her to continue her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama under Professor Peter Lissauer. Soon after arriving at RSAMD she formed the Cosmopolitan String Quartet, which she leads. She is currently on the RSAMD staff as a junior lecturer.

The Dewar Arts Award she won in 2007 enabled her to buy a Ciciliati violin, which she has since played at numerous concerts.
In 2008 she was selected by John Wallace, principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, and appointed as one of three young musicians sponsored for a year as ‘emergent leaders’. As part of this, she, Bede Williams and Fraser Gordon acted as the artistic directors of the RSAMD's Summerfest which ran from 26 June – 3 July 2009.

Batikian started her studies at the Yerevan State Conservatoire in 1998 when she was only 15 years old, and was awarded an undergraduate diploma in 2002, followed by a postgraduate diploma with honours in 2003.She went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music
