Biography

According to Houbraken, who called her Anna Françoise de Bruns, she was an assistant to the architect Jaques Francart

, who taught her to paint so that she became better than all other women painters of her time.

According to the RKD she was the cousin and pupil of Jacques Franckaert (II) and is known for portraits, especially during the period that she was court painter to Infante Isabella. She later married the Rotterdam writer Isaac Bullart and had 12 children by him.
