. Actually,Antarvedi is at the tip of the confluence of the Vasistha
River with the Bay of Bengal
. The main attraction of Antarvedi is the intersection of River Godavari (a tributary named Vasistha) into Bay of Bengal. This is located in Konaseema
(East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India).
Vasishta Sevashram is located just nearer to the River Godavari. Thus, this tributory is called Vashishta Godavari. Opposite to Vasishta Godavari, Lord Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple is located. Nearer to Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple, Lord Shiva temple is also located (Neelakanteswara, Brahma stapana). Launch facility is available to visit a small island at the other bank of the River Godavari (bank of Brother and Sister).
A temple of lord siva is also present, it is older than narasimha swamy temple, and the idol of lord siva was installed by Lord Srirama

In the 18th century Peddapuram Raja's were trustees and they developed the temple. Mogaltur Raja's are the traditional trustees of Antarvedi Temple beginning in the 19th century. Late Shri Raja Kalidindi Kumar Ramachandra Raja Bahaduralso contributed a lot to the temple. He was the former chairman of temple development and the hierarchical trustee of temple.
The lord and temple was gifted with many priceless jewels by the past kings, nobles and even East India Company. These jewels have been stored in a vault at the treasury department for the last 50 – 60 years. With great efforts and contribution by local M.L.A. Sri Alluri Krishnam Raju and the temple authorities, the age old jewelry of the god is being brought to Antarvedi and the idols of the Lord are being decorated during the Kalyanotsavam.

The royal Mogaltur male descendants are the first persons to pull the rope of rath,and then its pulled by the devotees.
Hundreds of thousands of devotees attend this festival starting on Dasami and continue till the full moon day.

Ferry. Alternatively, one can cross the river at Narsapur riding on the ferry, upon reaching Sakhinetipalli and from there start for Antervedi by road. The third option is to cross the Chinchinada river by the newly built bridge travelling from Narsapur
on the Palakol Road till Digamarru
and turn for the bridge, which brings you to the East Godavari District, and then proceed to Antervedi by road.
