It is a suburb full of green and trees, mostly quiet, as there are few residents. The mountains dominates the northern part, farmlands formerly covered the area which now dominates the southern part, the rest are built-up areas including shops. Businesses are the most popular industry in Anthousa, the population in the 1990s shifted from rural to urban as suburban housing boomed in Anthousa. The population growth in percentage between 1981 and 1991 was the fastest in the prefecture of Attica.
