Anvar Juraboev

Anvar Juraboev (May 22, 1948 - September 16, 2010) a well known Uzbek journalist, historian and politician. He was involved in creation of the newly independent Uzbekistan's constitution, created and served as head of the political party "Adolat" and was an editor of chief of numerous Uzbek newspapers.

. He graduated from philological faculty of the Moscow Pedagogical University in 1971, and had since been involved in journalism and politics.
He first started as an editor, later as a correspondent, and eventually the chief of information department for Samarkand region newspaper "Zarafshon" (1971–1974). Since then his positions included correspondent for newspaper "Na Straje Rodini" (Leningrad

He is an author of the documentary films "O, Paris!", "An actor and artist Suymenkul Chokmorov", "Trip to Germany", story-book "Taklifnoma" ("Invitation"), essays-"Yashil vagonchadagi chiroq" ("The lamp in the train car").
The great Russian writer, Nobel laureate Mikhail Sholokhov called Anvar Juraboev "a brave journalist," and that "he discusses the most acute problems of current interest in his articles, essays and especially in conversations."
Anvar Juraboev was a member of the republic commission on working out the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1992).
After being one of the founders of the social-democratic party of Uzbekistan "Adolat" (Justice Social Democratic Party
) February 1995, he was elected the first secretary of the Political council of the party and also the chairman of its fraction in the parliament (the fraction contained 48 deputies of Oliy Majlis). Later on he was elected as a deputy of the first Oliy Majlis of the country (1995–2000) and a member of Oliy Kengash in Oliy Majlis (Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan
