Apollon Larissa is one of the oldest and historic football (soccer)
club that was founded in Larissa
, Greece
. Its colours are blue and white.
It was founded in 1930 from members of Averofeio Rural School in Larissa in an agricultural community of the city Filippoupoli and the first name was Dimitra. Its current name Apollo was adopted in 1952.
Twelve years later in 1964, it overtook and played for the first time until today at Second Division
. Their route was really bad, it finished last with three points from its losses, it had 27 ties. They played 30 matches with 13 goals and lost 101. For several years, it was dried from the local championships and in the fourth division, even in the end of the 1980s and mainly in the early and mid 1990s, the teams made an outer direction to the Third Division
and greatly returned to the second division in football (soccer).
It made many greatest players which mostly wore the shirt of the Greek team and played even in the championships worldwide. Here, it made to turn as it contrasted with different teams from tehe city, Apollon was a satellite of the greatest team of the city AEL, as contrast was the most resistant.
