groups. These saw a connection of Oneness Pentecostalism with what they considered to be the Messianic Judaism of the first century. Believing that the modern church had departed too far from its Jewish roots, they desired to form a Oneness group that was Messianic in faith, practice, conduct, and order.
Apostolic Messianics believe that true Christianity is a Jewish religion - i.e. that all who profess faith in Jesus become Jewish by conversion. However they reject most first-century and present day Jewish practices - for example they do not follow Kosher, do not practice circumcision, and they believe that the Jewish scriptures are subordinate to the New Testament
and must be interpreted through it, in the same way that most Christians do.

Doctrine and Theology
Apostolic Messianics believe in Oneness theology - that is, they reject the mainstream Christian Trinitarian view of God and assert that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all the same person and simply different modes of operation of God. They follow Acts 2:38 as the plan of faith and grace salvation. They believe in holiness and separation from all things evil and sinful. They observe the Lord's Communion only on Passover according to the Jewish calendar - on the same night Jesus and the Apostles celebrated his memorial. They believe in the currency of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church and in miracles. They also believe in the ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. They believe in the Post-tribulation coming of Christ .External links
