On November 11, 2011, AppAssure announced the availability of AppAssure v4.7 Backup & Replication Software - the latest version of its flagship software. The newest version adds VMware vSphere/ESXi direct export support, multi-hypervisor support for VMware, Hyper-V and XenServer and automatic verification of all volumes and data blocks in order to verify the integrity of the data for complete recoverability of every backup in both virtual and physical environments.
AppAssure's Backup & Replication Software was named a Gold medal winner of the “2011 Editors’ Best Awards” in the Backup and Recovery and Disaster Recovery categories by Windows IT PRO magazine in November 2011. It was also selected as the Bronze Backup and Disaster Recovery Software Product of the Year by Storage Magazine in February, 2009.
