In January 2006, a group of homeowners got together and set up a residents' interest group to form a bridge between the growing number of residents and Emaar. One of the main functions was to represent the community in discussions with Emaar and any other body, such as the Municipality.Early 2007, the developer decided to fill up a large part of the lake opposite the Golf Club and introduced a new community - Alma. Since early 2007 the Golf Club is called Arabian Ranches.
