Ardentown was founded in 1922 as an outgrowth of Arden
with a conceptual lifestyle based on Henry George
's Single tax movement and William Morris

living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.0% were non-families. 30.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.08 and the average family size was 2.57.
In the village the population was spread out with 15.0% under the age of 18, 2.3% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 34.3% from 45 to 64, and 23.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 80.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 73.5 males.
