's communist regime. Other people were allowed from China, a country with a similar regime. Most of the people with origin from USSR were actually Russians, Ukrainians and Armenians, the latter having settled in the country as a result of the Union's penetration in the Warsaw pact

Most of the Armenians having come to Albania that period were soldiers serving the communist regime, or their families, having followed them. The population rate of Armenians in Albania was then estimated to 500-700 people. The cities with concentrated Armenian population were Tirana
