The German Army Group H fought during World War II
in the Netherlands
and in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
Army Group H (for Holland) was activated on November 11, 1944 in the Netherlands. It contained the 1. Fallschirmarmee and the 15. Armee (in January 1945 changed to 25. Armee). It garrisoned the Netherlands with twelve divisions. In March 1945 the army group becomes Oberbefehlshaber Nordwest under Ernst Busch. After being pushed from the Rhine by Operation Varsity
, in May 1945 the Army Group capitulated on the Lüneburger Heide
