Arsen Sykaj is an Albanian
football player
who currently plays as a central defender for Vllaznia Shkodër in the Albanian Superliga.
Sykaj is a product of the Vllaznia Shkodër footballing school where he took his first steps into football by joining the club in 1997 at the age of just 8. He played with all the age groups at the club including the Under-17s and the Under-19s. Sykaj became a main player in the U-19s side for Vllaznia which earned him a call up to the first team in 2007 where he began to train with the senior team whilst still playing for the U-19s side.
Tërbuni Pukë
Sykaj was loaned out to Tërbuni Pukë
for the 2008-09 season in order to gain more first team experience. He quickly established himself at the Albanian First Division
club, becoming a first team player upon his arrival. Despite being on loan for the entire season Sykaj returned to his parent club Vllaznia Shkodër in March 2009 following Tërbuni Pukë's disqualification from the First Division.

In May 2011 while at Vllaznia's pre-season training camp in Austria, Sykaj was reportedly being tracked by an unnamed Turkish club whose directors had flown out to Austria to monitor the young defender closely.
Sykaj was first called up to the senior Albania team
