Arthropodium milleflorum (pale vanilla lily) is a species of herbaceous
perennial plant
s native to the Southern Hemisphere. Synonyms: A. paniculatum, A. pendulum. Grows in eastern Australia in various habitats from coast to alpine areas. Tolerant of very moist even boggy conditions. Tubers are edible raw. Grass like rosette makes an attractive garden specimen. Easily grown from seed. The plant has a strong scent of vanilla especially noticeable on warm days.
