Arthur Maia is a Brazilian composer and musician. Considered one of the best bass players in the world, by professional critics, Maia have played with many famous artists, such as Djavan, Gilberto Gil, Marisa Monte, Lulu Santos and Ney Matogrosso...

. The album is also known as Sonora, which is the first song of it, and was well criticized by professionals around the world.

Its releasing show happened in Canecão, Rio de Janeiro. The public filled all that place and the bassist was very acclaimed that night. Then, Maia made a tour in Europe and Japan for divulging the album. He also played in Town Hall, New York, during Brazil-New York Jazz Festival.
