The first version of Artisteer was released in September 2008. Artisteer version 3.0 (current version) was officially released on June 2011.

Artisteer also provides an option to export Wordpress themes, which do not require further mordifications and can be applied to a Wordpress system by copying them directly into Wordpress "themes" folder.

Automation
Artisteer appears to be the first automated Web design product in the sense of being able to successfully assemble a usable Web design from random elements without user's intervention. This might also classify Artisteer as one of a few commercialized artificial creativity concepts. The user invokes the automation feature by selection "Suggest Design" option in the product and reviewing the suggested random design. Theoretcially this method can produce unlimited number of original Web designs, however, in the first product release many designs have similar look.Version history
