Ashot Garegini Hovhannisyan (Ioannisyan) (5 June 1887, Shusha
- 30 June 1977, Yerevan
) was a Soviet Armenian statesman, historian, academic of Science Academy of Armenia (1960). From 1922 to 1926 he was the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia.
