The Athens Youth Symphony is a symphony based out of Athens, Georgia
. The symphony was founded in 2001, and is currently directed and conducted by Karl Schab. There are usually two concerts per season with one being in the fall and the other in spring. The symphony is primarily made up of middle and high school students, but alumni members can be seen performing in concerts as well.
Athens Youth Symphony's mission is to provide the finest quality orchestral training and performance opportunities for students in the Northeast Georgia area.
