Atromitos Patras is an athletic club in Zarouchleika
neighbourhood in south suburban Patras
in the Achaia prefecture. The team was first created in 1929 with an area of the Markato settlement and in 1945 joined Zarchouleika. In 1929, it had a resistance club under the name Aris Markatou. It won during that time with all of the categories of the Achaia Football Clubs Association. In 1975, the team lost the prefectural championship during the match with Aris Patras. Their first achievement was in 1994 when they won the championships and also meant their ticket to the Fourth Division which participated for a couple of years. The team also had a basketball club. The new club Atromitos Zarchouleika was founded in 2004 and currently plays in the prefectural first division.

Atromitos Zarouchleika
A separate team of Atromitos Patras was founded in 1987. It is based in Zarouchleika and has its colors blue-orange. They play in the second prefectural division. In its first year, they were relegated to the prefectural second division, with the name Ifaistos Patras and their direction took their present one. The team accepted players as young as 20 years of age. Its chairman is Andonis Mavris.Sources
