There were 40 households out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.5% were married couples
living together, 17.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% were non-families. 17.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.88.
In the town the population was spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 26.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. Notable residents
- Stephen McCormick, (1784–1875), born in Auburn, noted inventor and manufacturer, introduced cast-iron plow to America. At that time, West Virginia had not succeeded from Virginia.
- Jerry W.White - (1972- ) enlisted in the US Army, Served in Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF 2) and OIF 7, Graduate of West Virginia State University RBA, He continues to serve with the West Virginia National Guard as a Staff Sargent. He resides in Cross Lanes with his wife Tracy, sons Nathan, Connor and Bailey.
