Auckland City Libraries' online public access catalogue (OPAC) system uses AquaBrowser as the primary search tool. Its OPAC enables the search of both catalogue and website content in one search. It has a plug-in that will search all eResources. During a search, AquaBrowser can produce related and relevant items in addition to the particular titles being looked for. On the website, customers can read blogs; subscribe to RSS feeds; and through My Discoveries, create personal booklists, rate books etc and submit reviews. Readers are also free to create their own booklists directly on the website in the 'New and Recommended' section. All you need to do is sign up for a free web account.
Auckland City Libraries' Digital Library holds 100+ eResources including eBooks via Downloadable Media; online encyclopaedias e.g. World Book Online, Britannica Online; databases that feature indexes and full-text articles on a myriad subjects; online exhibitions; and digitised newspapers and journals.
