Avromie Summers is a musician and songwriter turned entrepreneur. Summers played lead guitar, toured nationally and composed with the Los Angeles-based pop-punk band In Theory
. Born into the Orthodox Jewish faith, Summers was educated at Jewish preparatory schools including the Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study before attending the University of Southern California
and founding The Gnosiis Media Company, where he currently serves as its CEO.
. While the band did not receive commercial success it was the catalyst for Summers to meet and join the Los Angeles-based pop-punk group In Theory

While Summers was recognized for his commanding performances on stage, his primary function was arguably that of the bands business-mind. Summers negotiated the bands two recording contracts as well as a series of sponsorship and endorsement deals. Summers also played a key role, along with Gersht and White, in crafting the comprehensive marketing and social media campaign for In Theory
at a time when social media was still in its infancy. The success of the campaign eventually would result in building their sizable fan base and capturing the attention of Shelter from the Storm Records.
. To found Gnosiis Media, Summers teamed up with Susan Balistocky. Balistocky was working as a business and legal consultant advising businesses in entertainment, fashion, energy and real estate in regards to internet-related and regulation-related changes and how to handle the legal repercussions that resulted. Balistocky combined with Summers to create a firm capable of handling the complex challenges that entrepreneurs, producers and companies doing business in the media and entertainment fields face, particularly in regards to utilizing corporate sponsorship as a means of financing. Summers had met Balistocky while performing with In Theory
, and they incorporated Gnosiis Media in October 2008. The first client to be signed by Gnosiis Media was the Santa Monica Pier
.
Since 2008 the business dealings of Gnosiis Media have expanded and in March 2011 Summers delivered a lecture at Columbia Law School
on Entrepreneurship
. In his lecture Summers addressed the Competitive advantages of technology to the younger generations, utilizing sponsorship as a means of film finance and the broad legal issues that entrepreneurs generally need guidance with from their attorneys.
