Ayal Adler is a musician and composer.
in Montreal. He joined the Faculty of Theory and Composition at the Jerusalem Academy in 2001, where he teaches various courses of music theory and composition. He served as Head of the composition track of the cross-disciplinary music department in the academy, and a board member of the Israeli Composers' League. He also teaches theory and composition at the Hed Music College of Tel Aviv .
Adler was honored with the Prime Minister Award for Composers in 2008 . Adler is the composer-in-residence with the Ensemble Meitar. Formed for the purpose of the performance of contemporary Israeli compositions, the ensemble performed in London, which was the first occasion the ensemble
performed in this city, on 27 March 2006 at the Guildhall School of Music(Barbican) .
Biography
Began in the study of piano and composition at the Rubin Conservatory, afterwards enrolling at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music completing a B.Mus. and Artist Diploma in composition culminating with a Doctoral degree in composition at McGill UniversityMcGill University
