BEAK> published their debut album in 2009. This self-titled debut was released on November 17, 2009. The music was recorded live in one room with no overdubs or repair, only using edits to create arrangements. All tracks were written over a twelve-day session in Bristol, England. BEAK> also produced the debut album Anika

The band toured in 2010 in the U.S. and the U.K.; they have been chosen by Portishead to perform at the ATP I'll Be Your Mirror
festival that they will curate in July 2011 at London's Alexandra Palace. Anika was also chosen to perform at the festival. BEAK> had previously worked with Anika when they produced her debut album.
