was reclaimed, the village lay on the dyke of the IJsselmeer
. According to the 19th century historian A.J. van der Aa, it had about 120 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century. It was also called "Kuinderdijk en Baarlo" then.
Baarlo should not be confused with the village with the same name
in the municipality of Zwartewaterland
