. It is published once every three weeks and distributed free of charge. Circulation (as of September, 2010) is 30 thousand. This makes Babilonas the largest among regional newspapers in northeastern Lithuania.

The newspaper is owned by the Ogmios group of companies. This group also develops real estate project Babilonas

. Therefore advertisements of this project and its tenants are printed in the newspaper. However, Babilonas is not solely a promotional newspaper. Non-advertising articles, news and information are also widely printed. Additionally there are regular puzzle and joke sections. The readers may publish their announcements or personal adverts free of charge in a dedicated page.

Babilonas prints only positive information. Articles on crimes, disasters and negative changes are not published.
