. However, the Badr satellite program also used by the Saudia Arabia via SUPARCO as its contrator. The Badr-3, Badr-4, and Badr-5 satellites are controlled by the Saudia Arabia's Arabsat. All these satellites are launched by Russian and Europeans expendable launch vehicle except the Badr-1 satellite.

The Badr series consisted of five satellites. All five satellites are domestically developed. The Badr-I satellite successfully completed its designated life and all three of the satellites are still in use. The Badr program will be decommissioned in 2012 after the Badr-B completed its successful designated life in a Earth's orbit. The Pakistan Remote Sensing satellite system will be taking the place of Badr-Satellite program in 2012.
