, Bah had a population of 14,593. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%.
This place is situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India on State Highway 62 around 70 km from Agra city and around 55 km from Etawah. Its geographical coordinates are 26° 52' 12" North, 78° 35' 51" East. Three rivers, Yamuna, Chambal and Utangan irrigate its land and separate from the states Madhya Pradesh and Rajsthan. It was founded in 1700 by Maharaja Mahendra Kalyan Singh of Bhadawar and was called Kalyanbah. Its name was later corrupted to Bah, which means flow of water.

Bah is famous for Bateshwarnath Temple (Lord Shiva), which is only 7 km from Bah City. Along with the main temple there is a series of 108 temples of Lord Shiva on the riverbank of Yamuna. November local festival at Bateshwarnath attracts thousands of devotees from nearby areas and states ( Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh). Nearby a Jain Temple is situated at Shauripur (Shauripur place is believed to be of Mahabharat Kaal). Nowadays newly developed Chambal Safari is a must watch for nature lovers.

Bah is a Tehsil place comprising three blocks Bah, Jaitpur and Pinahat. Main spoken language is Hindi and main religion is Hindu, however Jain and Muslims also stay together in harmony. All people celebrate Diwali, Eid together and boast that no religious fight/clashes ever happened in Bah since the Independence of India. Primary way of living is agriculture and lot of people drift to Major cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad and others for their living. That's why there is direct connectivity by buses from these cities to Bah. It is also the educational hub for the nearby villages and also the market place for the nearby villages. This land was used to be known for great 'defence-persons' and also for 'chambal-dacoits' in past but now known for young sportspersons and energetic educators.
