Bai Keming

Bai Keming graduated from department of missile engineering at Harbin Institute of Military Engineering. He joined Communist Party of China in 1975, and was a member of central committee of 16th CPC's national congress. He was the chief officer of People's Daily
. He used to serve as the secretary of CPC's Hainan committee and Hebei committee. He is currently a member of standing committee of 11th National People's Congress, and the director of the commission of education, science, culture and health of NPC.
, from 1968 to 1970, he was transferred to the "Five Seven Cadre School" in Heilongjiang military region. Later he was assigned to science and technology office in the bureau of metallurgy and geology in Heilongjiang Province. In 1970, he was transferred to the 2nd department at Ha'erbin Institute of Naval Engineering and became a lecturer. He returned to Shaanxi in 1973, and served in scientific study department at national defense engineering office as well as the 2nd bureau of mechanics in Shaanxi. During that period, from February 1977 to May 1978, he worked in the 2nd ministry of mechanics.
