The Bakloh Cantonment was established in 1866 for the 4th Gorkhas which was raised at PITHORA GARH (UP). When this 4th Gorkhas (Extra Regiment) came to Bakloh Cantt then Ist Battalion of 4th Gorkha was raised at Bakloh Cantonment. This area was taken from Chamba State (HP) for establishment of 4th GORKHAS. The name of Bakloh was given by the British Officer keeping in mind the name of only nearby village known as BAGULA situated approximate 5 km from Bakloh Hills. Postal Code 176301.
