As per 2001 census, Bamangola block has a total population of 127,156, out of which 65,196 were males and 61,960 were females. Of the total population 63,459 were scheduled castes and 25,083 were scheduled tribes. Bamangola registered a population growth of 18.2 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade.
