Bardonia is named for the Bardon Brothers - John and the twins Phillip and Conrad - who came from Bavaria
in the 1849 and opened several businesses.

Age distribution was 25.2% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 31.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 94.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.8 males.
The median household income was $96,068, and the median family income was $104,415. Males had a median income of $70,060 versus $43,700 for females. The per capita income

In the last few months Bardonia has been going through hardships in the debate of whether or not to build a 7 Eleven in Bardonia, small businesses say it will wipe them out, many townspeople says the store may pose a danger because it is right next to the elementary school.
